As of July 30, it is 18 days until The Airzone Solution and Auton have their US broadcast premieres on KTEH 54 San Jose/KCAH 25 Watsonville, CA http://www.kteh.org/ . If they pledge well, KTEH has the option to air the BBV videos and sell them to other public TV stations. BBV's website is http://www.bbvonline.co.uk/ . |

The BBC Radio 4 Documentary My Life As A Dalek reran on Tuesday 29 July at 11:30PM BST, which I found out too late to get into last week's TWIDW. However, Radio 4 is archiving it online until Tuesday 5 August at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/factual/rams/dalek.ram , so you can still listen. Mark Gatiss produced this special to commemorate 40 years of the Daleks. |
August sees the 1996 Doctor Who TV Movie air again in South Africa and the United States. Sci-Fi Channel SA http://www.uk.scifi.com/ will air Doctor Who from 8 to 9:25PM on Thursday 7 August and 5:25 to 7PM on Friday 8 August. The US Sci-Fi Channel will air the film from 2 to 4PM Eastern Time (adjust for local time and feed) on Friday August 22. |

Maryland Public TV sees the end of an era this Saturday night - again. This Saturday sees the final Doctor Who story scheduled to air in movie format (the conclusion to The Trial Of A Time Lord). Maryland Public TV has aired Doctor Who in movie format since they picked up the series in 1985, except for brief experiments in 1998 and 2000 - an 18 year run. Now they will air the series in episode format (2 episodes a week), starting with the William Hartnell episodes. Time will tell if this is a permanent change, or if they will return to airing in movie format in a few months. At the moment, this leaves KERA 13 in Dallas, Texas as the only station in the US still airing Doctor Who in movie format. see note) |
